New Kansas City Jazz and Heritage Festival aims to go big







The American Jazz Museum kicks off a new three-day music and culture festival, the Kansas City Jazz and Heritage Festival, that museum officials hope one day will be a huge ping on the national festival radar. Parts of The Paseo will be shut down for the Memorial Day Weekend event. Museum executive director Cheptoo Kositany-Buckner describes her vision for a world-class destination event.
